Who We Are
Graeme Hird, Geologist and Director.
Graeme has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Geology (B.App.Sc, Applied Geology) from RMIT, Australia. As an exploration geologist for more than a decade, Graeme focussed on gold projects in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia before specialising in geological modelling. Over the course of his 30+ year career, Graeme has worked for major companies (e.g. BHP Iron Ore, Placer Dome, Barrick Gold) and many juniors, in addition to working at Mira Geoscience and HiSeis.
Graeme is recognised as an Australian expert in Gocad software and had been the Principal Interpretation Geologist at HiSeis for nearly seven years before launching Rock Solid Seismic. His involvement in over 200 hard rock seismic projects at HiSeis perhaps qualifies him as the most experienced hard rock seismic interpreter in Australia. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Rock Solid Seismic and has a passion for sharing that knowledge with you as our clients.
